This app was created by a busy physician who wanted a tool to help bring some joy to pushing through electronic medical record tasks. You can decide if you want to use it as a daily tool or save it for those tired days when you need extra motivation.

Complete a real task → tap its button. The boss takes damage. Repeat until the health bar hits zero.

Clear all 4 slots → a glowing button appears → tap it to finish the boss.

Difficulty controls how much damage each completed task deals to the boss. Higher difficulty means more damage per blast — so Hard tasks drain the health bar faster than Easy ones.

Use it to reflect how demanding each task type really is. A cognitively heavy task set to Hard will fill the health bar faster, making the fight feel proportional to the effort.

Yes — there are two settings in Options that help.

Removes screen shake, minimises flashing, and slows the idle monster animations. Designed for anyone who finds the full effects too intense — including those with photosensitivity or sensory sensitivities.

Sound effects are off by default. If you've turned them on and want silence again, toggle Sound Effects off in Options.

Both settings are found in the Options menu on the main screen.

Yes. Everything stays on your device. Your task names, targets, difficulty settings, and stats are saved in your browser's local storage and never leave it.

The only external request this app makes is to load its font from Google Fonts. No task data, usage data, or personal information is transmitted anywhere.

To delete your data at any time, use the Reset option in Stats, or clear your browser's local storage.

Yes — EMR Blast runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop. No download or installation required.

It is designed primarily for mobile use, so it works best in portrait orientation on a phone. On desktop it centres in the middle of the screen.

For the best experience on mobile, add it to your home screen via your browser's Share → Add to Home Screen option. It will open like an app with no browser chrome.

Your streak counts the number of consecutive working days on which you completed at least one session. It increments once per day — multiple sessions on the same day don't add extra.

Weekends are a grace period. If you don't play on Saturday or Sunday, your streak is safe — it will continue from where it left off on Friday. If you do play on a weekend, that counts too.

Missing a working day breaks the streak. It resets to 1 on your next session. Your streak start date is shown in Stats once you've built a streak of 2 or more days.

The task list is built around common EMR workflows, but every practice is different. If there's a task type you'd like to see added, let us know — the list grows based on what people actually need.
